Best showerhead reviews of 2026
We Compared the Top 5 Filtered Showerheads. Here's How They Rank.
From the One We'd Skip to the One We'd Buy.

If your hair has gone dull and frizzy and your skin feels tight the second you step out, the problem might not be your shampoo. It might be your shower.
Most of us have tried the masks, the oils and the thick lotions. They help for a day, and then the next hot shower undoes it.
So we put 5 of the most popular filtered showerheads to the test and judged every one on the same two things:
- Does the spray get through to your scalp, so conditioner rinses out?
- How many filters does it have, and what's in them?
One clearly came out on top. Here they are, from #5 to #1.
AquaBliss Shower Filter

Price: About $36
Landing at number five is AquaBliss, the easiest and most affordable way to try shower filtering, with a long list of Amazon reviews behind it. It's a chrome cylinder that screws in between the pipe and your existing head, and its cartridge uses calcium sulfite and carbon to filter the water.
The drawback is that it isn't a new showerhead at all. Your old spray stays exactly as it was, so if weak pressure is what bothers you, nothing changes; I still needed three rinses to get my conditioner out.
That's why it lands at number five. Still, if you're happy with your current head and just want a simple filter, it's a sensible place to start.
Check price on Amazon →Jolie Filtered Showerhead

Price: $169
Snagging the fourth spot is the Jolie Filtered Showerhead, a stylish head that comes in five colors and has had a lot of attention on Instagram, much of it from influencers. Its filter uses KDF-55 and calcium sulfite, and Jolie says six outside studies back it.
In everyday use, though, the pressure felt soft, and after two rinses I could still feel conditioner at the back of my head. For the most expensive head here, that matters, and some of the buzz around it feels a little overhyped.
That's why the Jolie lands at number four. Still, if you want a beautiful head for the wall and pressure isn't your priority, it remains a noteworthy option.
Check price on Amazon →Afina Filtered Showerhead

Price: $129
Taking the third spot is the Afina Filtered Showerhead, a big rain head that makes the shower look like a hotel and feels well made in your hand. Its filter uses KDF-55 and calcium sulfite.
A wide rain face spreads the water out, and that comes at the cost of pressure: I'd rinse, rinse again, and still feel conditioner at my roots. Afina also says to swap the filter every 60 days, sooner than eskiin's roughly 90.
Those two drawbacks put it at number three. Still, if you love a wide, gentle rain spray, it's worth a look.
Check price on Amazon →Canopy Filtered Showerhead

Price: $150
Earning the second spot is the Canopy Filtered Showerhead, a pretty, spa-like head that looks lovely on the wall and comes with scented tablets that make the bathroom feel like a retreat. It does a decent job of filtering, and Canopy says its filter is tested to the NSF/ANSI 177 standard.
Where it falls short is water pressure. The spray felt like light rain on my scalp, and even after a long rinse my crown still felt coated, which is a real drawback if you have thick hair or use a rich conditioner.
That gap in pressure is what keeps it at number two on our list. Still, if the spa feel matters more to you than a strong rinse, it remains a lovely option.

So which one stayed on top? Here's our #1.
eskiin Filtered Showerhead

This is the one we'd buy.
It's the one that does the basics best for the money. A real new head, one filter with KDF-55, calcium sulfite and coconut activated carbon, and a spray strong enough to rinse conditioner out of thick hair.

eskiin costs $115, and everything you need is in the box, with the filter already fitted. The wrench and plumber's tape are in there, too. The filter lasts about three months, so a fresh one goes in a few times a year.

That's less up front than Canopy, Afina or Jolie. Only AquaBliss costs less, and that's just a filter behind your old head.
Shipping is free. eskiin is a US company, run by its founders Wes and Maddie in Oregon. You get 60 days to try it, and if you don't love it, they'll send your money back.

The Verdict
- The one we'd buy: eskiin Filtered Showerhead
- Price: $115
- Filters: 1, lasts about 3 months
- Mount: stays on the wall
- Setup: wrench and tape in the box
- Try it: 60 days

Comments
My color used to fade in about three weeks. I've had the eskiin on our wall since August and my stylist actually asked what I changed. My hair finally feels clean after conditioner.
47Same here! My toner is lasting so much longer and I didn't change anything else.
12Is it hard to put up? I rent and I really don't want to call a plumber or mess with my deposit.
23Tasha, the wrench and plumber's tape come in the box and the filter is already inside. It took me a few minutes. When you move, screw your old head back on and take the eskiin with you.
31Perfect, ordering tonight. Thank you!
4Put it up on a Saturday morning before coffee. The spray is so much stronger than our builder-grade head that I actually stand in it longer now.
89Had the AquaBliss for a year. It's fine, but it's the same weak spray, just filtered. Switched to the eskiin last month and the pressure is night and day.
64This is exactly why I'm here lol. My AquaBliss is in a drawer.
9How often does the filter need changing? I'm terrible at remembering that kind of thing.
15Rosa, about every three months. I set a reminder on the first day of each season and that's it.
22Thank you for actually saying who's behind it. I'd much rather buy from two people in Oregon than some faceless brand.
38Got mine in September. My skin doesn't feel tight when I get out anymore, and the bathroom doesn't smell like a pool. My husband noticed before I said anything.
112The pool smell thing is so real. Ours is gone too and I can't believe I lived with it.
7Canopy owner here. It's pretty and the scent pods are nice for a week, but I always had to rinse twice. Switching when my filter runs out.
